Twenty years. That’s how long Linda and Paul have been married for. Incredible.
I woke up on this day to rainy, windy weather, after it had been beautiful and sunny all week. I couldn’t help but think about how the rainy weather is a bit of a metaphor for marriage. A marriage isn’t all sunny days and happiness. Marriage is commitment, support and choosing to love each other through those really crap (rainy) days. Marriage is perfectly imperfect.
The best thing about photographing families and couples, is that you get the best insight into people’s relationships, as you are watching through the lens. Looking for those small details that illustrate affection, and those intricate loving gestures. I got to witness all of the love that Linda and Paul had for each other, and their family of four girls. Their wild, crazy, loud, rambunctious love. It’s all out there, take it or leave it.
