I am in love with this family. Seriously, is it possible to have a family crush? This is what is incredible about being able to document peoples lives, I am able to observe families grow, and witness how love can deepen over time.
The Kennedy tribe—effervescent, filled with love—played in the sand and splashed in the salty water, while the afternoon sun filtered through the mauve clouds. Cam chased his daughters around, and their squeals rang out; I ran to keep up with my camera glued to my face, trying not to fall over. Being around children, in some respects, forces us adults to relive the joys of being a kid again, looking at the world with simplicity and excitement. The elation was contagious. Indi and Theia were able to run wild, be utterly themselves, and explored with fascination what the world has to offer. Afternoons such as these are treasured heirlooms in the narrative that creates family memories. I hope that one day, these two strong young women will look back on these images with fondness and remember the simple joys of their childhood.
